Summer Film Camp 2013

In 2013 Rooney Productions, Theatre Wakefield and the Wakefield Community Youth Centre (WAY) will offer four weeks of Summer Film Camp for the community's teenagers. The dates for these camps are available below.

In 2012 all four camps filled up very quickly. Well over half the participants were returning for a second, third or fourth year. We encourage everyone to register early. Each week is limited to 12 young people who will write, film, edit, and score a short story or documentary over 5 days. Camp is intense and varied. Everyone has an opportunity to work with our professional equipment, to perform in the film, help create the sound track, do continuity and all the behind-the-scenes jobs involved in film making. We also go swimming in the Gatineau River almost every day.

Because of the generousity of individuals in our community we can offer fee reductions and/or scholarships to a few participants. These are mainly reserved for single income families and families with multiple teens registering for camp. If you have any questions please email us or call to discuss them.
